OVERVIEW

I have worked in the field of education for over twenty years as a special education teacher, autism specialist and educational consultant.  I have also been a member of an evaluation team where we provided a comprehensive evaluation to determine a student’s learning profile as well as their eligibility for special education services in the public schools. Most recently I completed my Education Specialist degree in educational leadership.  I have a teaching license in the areas of elementary education, learning disabilities, and mild to moderate mental impairments. I also have a license for Director of Special Education. I have an extensive background in the field of autism.  I have trained other educators on strategies to work with children on the autism spectrum and have taught social skills to the children.

At the Rosenberg Center, I perform educational evaluations as part of a team process.  I also consult with families to help them understand the educational process and to advocate for their children. I strongly believe that a positive relationship between families and schools is a benefit for the child.
